Welcome to our site.

The Burke-Maple Bluff Ambulance District is governed by a five person District Board of Directors: three representatives from the Township of Burke and two from the Village of Maple Bluff. Our medical staff is composed of 30 professional emergency medical technician (EMT) volunteers, and one full-time EMS professional.

The District encompasses an area of approximately 25 square miles covering areas to the

north and east of the City of Madison, including some sections of Interstate 39/90. The district currently operates out of one station located at 18 Oxford Place, Madison, WI 54704 in the Village of Maple Bluff.

Our ambulance service transports to the appropriate medical facility of the patient’s choice (within the immediate Madison Metropolitan area) provided they are in stable condition. The EMTs of the district operate under the control of the hospital emergency room physicians at the receiving facility.

The service is licensed to operate at the EMT-Basic Level through the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, EMS Division. This license is renewed every two years. Our district is currently in the process of increasing our service to the Intermediate Technician Level.

The Burke-Maple Bluff Ambulance District is in compliance with the new Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, (HIPAA).
