A Knox Box is part of a high-security key box system, designed to give firefighters and emergency services immediate access to locked homes, buildings, elevators, and other secured areas.

Why do I need a Knox Box?

In case of an emergency, allows Firefighters faster access without costly forced entry damage to your home or business.

How Secure is the Knox Box?

The Knox-Box itself is a high security key vault that is UL listed against physical attack. Each fire engine in the Village of Maple Bluff is equipped with a secured key for entry into your box.

How do I get a Knox Box?

You may contact Assistant Chief Brad Ingersoll (bingersoll@villageofmaplebluff.com). For additional information, visit: http://www.knoxbox.com/store/pubdoclib/MKT-KBBROC-0038-J.pdf

How do I install a Knox Box?

Mounting instructions are included with your Knox Box purchase. Install the Knox Box no higher than 5 feet from the ground and near the main entrance.

After installation is complete, contact the Maple Bluff Fire Rescue Department at (608)244-3390 to schedule a site visit and to lock your access key(s) inside the box.
